If you have a passion for helping the elderly and undertaking person-centred care, then the CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) is for you!

This CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) aged care course covers subjects including working ethically, direct client care, healthy body systems, empowering the elderly, loss and grief, dementia, individualised support, support independence, mental health and more.

All your learning resources will be available online. A trainer will be assigned to guide and support you throughout your studies, and will be able to offer help and advice.

As part of this course, you must complete 120 hours of work placement. You’ll study 13 units and be expected to complete assessments.

This qualification is 6 months.

TrainSmart Australia will assess a student’s ‘academic suitability’ to ensure the student has the best chance of success. This is determined by either:

  • The student providing TrainSmart Australia with a copy of an Australian year 12 certificate; or,
  • The student providing TrainSmart Australia with a copy of a Certificate IV qualification (or above) that can be verified or,
  • The student completing the Core Skills Profile for Adults online assessment passing at or above Exit Level 3 in the Australian Core Skills Framework in both reading and numeracy.

All prospective learners will attend a mandatory face to face career counselling session to assess their suitability for this Certificate III level qualification.

The CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) qualification can lead to a number of job titles within the community services sector including;

  • Personal Care Worker
  • Respite Worker
  • Community Care Worker
  • Assistant in Nursing
