The CHC50413 Diploma of Youth Work course will develop your skills to build strong relationships and mentor young adults and youth who may require support.

This course covers aspects that address the social, behavioural, health, welfare, developmental and protection needs of young people.  You will learn how to mentor and promote the well-being of young people, how to develop and implement youth programs/events and much more.

This 12-month online course will also gain you access to our Health and Community Services Trainers for dedicated team support throughout your studies. All our Allied Health trainers are highly experienced and offer students specialist knowledge and insight from their respective fields.

To achieve the CHC50413 Diploma of Youth Work qualification we will assist you in finding 160 hours of work placement experience to apply the skills and knowledge you have gained in a real-world setting.

Course Details

Do you have an interest in helping young people, seeing them grow and develop into well-rounded adults? If so, then you’ve found the right course!

This CHC50413 Diploma of Youth Work course covers a range of content including; Cultural Safety, Community Development, Advocacy Services, Cases Management, Mental Health, Youth Work, Youth Programs, Youth Crises and More.

You will be expected to complete practical activities by attending mobile workshops and in the workplace. TrainSmart Australia will give you advance notice so you can make the necessary arrangements to ensure you are able to participate in these workshops.

Learning is online over a 12-month period, to best suit your individual needs and lifestyle.

TrainSmart Australia will assess a student’s ‘academic suitability’ to ensure the student has the best chance of success. This is determined by either:

  • The student providing TrainSmart Australia with a copy of an Australian year 12 certificate; or,
  • The student providing TrainSmart Australia with a copy of a Certificate IV qualification (or above) that can be verified or,
  • The student completing the Core Skills Profile for Adults online assessment passing at or above Exit Level 3 in the Australian Core Skills Framework in both reading and numeracy.

The CHC50413 Diploma of Youth Work qualification can lead to opportunities with job titles such as;

  • Youth worker
  • Community development worker (youth)
  • Indigenous youth worker
  • Youth alcohol and drugs worker
  • Youth caseworker

The maximum tuition fee for this course is $10,500. Your fee payment options are:
