22235VIC Introductory Foundation Skills Training

What will you learn?

The 22235VIC Certificate I in General Education for Adults (Introductory) is designed to help you improve your English language, literacy and numeracy skills.

You’ll also develop your skills in job-searching, networking and resume writing.

This course is suitable for people wanting to improve their basic reading, writing, numeracy and communication skills to help them on their pathway into employment or further education.

That’s because new skills often open the door to new career opportunities  and this accredited qualification can enhance your employment prospects.

How will you study?

The course will be delivered face-to-face and on campus. Students must attend classroom sessions 3 days a week for 15 weeks. You’ll receive a personal mentor and dedicated trainer support, as well as career guidance and other counselling if needed.

This qualification is ideal for individuals who want to enhance their employment opportunities or who may want to go on and complete further studies.

Student entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. However, TrainSmart Australia will assess a student’s ‘academic suitability’ to ensure the student has the best chance of success. This is determined through the student’s educational history and where required Foundation Skills testing.

Cost of this course

This training is subsidised by the WA Government. The program under which subsidised training is offered is known as Future Skills WA. The WA Government contributes to the cost of each course and the student pays the balance.

The course can cost as little as $78 but you must meet eligibility criteria to qualify for the government funded concession price.  Student tuition fees are indicative only and are subject to change given individual circumstances at enrolment. Additional fees may apply such as student services and resource fees.
