“Failing to prepare is preparing to fail”
Gill has worked within the Mental Health and Community Services industry for the last 12 years. She has worked both here in Australia and in the UK in various types of Community Work, including Alcohol and Other Drugs, Youth Work, Adult Education, Homelessness and Family Domestic Violence.
Gill says “I am most proud of the work I have done as coordinator of adult education programmes in the UK, developing education and professional development programmes to enhance the well-being and employability skills of the community”
Gill has said her favourite thing about teaching Mental Health and Community Services is the interactions and, often controversial, discussions that she has with her students, which brings a real life element to her class environment.
