Work doesn’t feel like ‘work’ for me as I get a real buzz from mentoring others and watching them flourish. Everyone has great potential and my role is to see them develop from ‘good to great’. I tell all my students that ‘they should find something which they love to do in life and then get someone to pay them to do it.’ I certainly did!
I have a BA (Hons) Business, Marketing and Management degree. When I graduated, I took up a position with Telstra. My career in this large commercial organisation has given me extensive knowledge of business, management and leadership.
After I had my children, I decided to steer myself in a new direction as a mentor and trainer. I completed a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, which was an online course mixed with some face to face. This gave me a really good insight into online learning, and has added to my belief that you can successfully complete a course online.
I became a contract trainer and worked for various Registered Training Organisations. My students come from diverse backgrounds and I get tremendous satisfaction from inspiring them throughout their learning experience. I joined TrainSmart Australia in 2014.
I have a passion for helping people achieve their career aspirations and, as a result, enjoying a better quality of life. My catchphrase is ‘everyone can achieve anything if they put their mind to it’. People should never fear learning, but embrace it instead. I am here to help them through that learning process every step of the way.
