I have been involved in professional and community theatre for more than 25 years as a performer, director, choreographer, backstage crew and a makeup artist. Theatre was my introduction to the make-up world.
Make- up had only played a part-time role in my life until 2014 when I decided to take a break from my role as an event manager to become fully qualified in make-up. Once I completed my Certificate II and my Diploma I worked for Napoleon Perdis before moving into a role as Lecturer for the WA Academy.
I love beauty, creative and special effects make-up. Airbrush make-up is a firm favourite of mine, as well as creating prosthetics and learning unorthodox methods/ingredients to create. I also enjoy attending masterclasses and networking with other creative people. Make-up is an ever-evolving world and it’s exciting to be on the journey and being a part of it.
I joined TrainSmart Australia in 2016 as a trainer/assessor for the Diploma of Screen and Media (Specialist Make-up Services). I am not only passionate about the artistry of makeup, but also teaching and mentoring people that want to be part of this flourishing industry.
